THE PROMENADE POOL TERRACE WATERPROOFING
THE PROMENADE POOL TERRACE WATERPROOFING
Project Owner: The Promenade Home Owners Association
- The Promenade Terrace, at the beginning of the project, was a 2-acre expanse of barren and crumbling concrete topping slab over a leaking waterproofing system on a post-tension concrete slab covering a parking deck structure
- Seal Engineering, Inc. was first tasked with designing the demolition of the over-burden and re-waterproofing of the structure and bid that work as phase one of the project due to the serious nature of the leaks
- Assisted the Owner in selecting a landscape architect and then worked with the landscape architect in the design of the overburdened area
- Coordinated with the structural engineer and landscape architect to ensure that the design was within the structural limitations
- While each design professional had a direct contract with the Owner, Seal Engineering, Inc. provided continuity and coordination of detailing throughout the project
- Provided overall project coordination for the Owner and overall QA/QC for the project construction
- The project earned an Award of Merit from the International Concrete Repair Institute
