- Prime Designer in the long-anticipated main courtyard waterproofing and finish replacement in a Design-Build procurement. Seal Engineering, Inc. has been involved with the main building for years assisting with various projects ranging from roof replacements, foundation waterproofing repair, and waterproofing associated with building upgrade projects as well as pre-planning for the courtyard waterproofing replacement
- Together with our Prime Contractor construction team, three design options were prepared, together with 3D illustrations, full schedule, and costing information in response to the RFP
- The team was selected as the best value to the Government based on the overall design concept, technical proficiency, cost, and schedule
- Working with Government representatives, our Landscape Architecture consultant, and other team members refined the original concept design to include primary elements desired by the users and to meet project goals of a fully waterproofed structure with the flexibility of use at the finished surface with dramatically improved surface drainage
- Prepared documents in phases to allow demolition and waterproofing to proceed in advance of the final finish design
- Provided construction phase submittal reviews, payment requisition reviews, and construction inspection service
- Seal Engineering, Inc. also evaluated changed conditions exposed during construction and provide recommendations to the Owner on how to be proceed
- With the NTP provided in November, the $3.2 million design and construction project was accelerated to be complete in 7 months to meet the Owner’s desire to use the space for their Family Day in June
