  • Seal Engineering, Inc. performed a survey of the flat-locked-and-soldered and batten seam copper roofing systems and related built-in gutter systems for this circa 1887 government building
  • The flat-locked-and-soldered copper roofing system required a full replacement due to design/ installation deficiencies and widespread trapped moisture; however, the roof replacement was removed from the project scope due to funding limitations
  • Prepared maintenance and repair design to correct identified deficiencies in the batten seam copper roofing systems and gutters that were resulting in leaks to the exterior and damage to the brick masonry facade
  • Identified deficiencies in the batten seam copper roofing systems and gutters that were resulting in leaks to the exterior and damage to the brick masonry facade
  • Developed design for new snow guard system for the steep sloped roofs
  • Construction phase services including submittal review and spot inspections were provided
  • This building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places
