The patio paving system was designed in a PRMA (protected roofing membrane assembly) consisting of hot-applied rubberized asphalt membrane over the concrete structure covered with precast concrete pavers on pedestals
Provided contract compliance inspection services during construction

Seal Engineering, Inc., conducted a condition assessment of existing planters and façade elements relating to ongoing leaks into the parking garage
Reviewed available construction drawings, details, previous reports and previous repair designs to aid in determining the source of ongoing leak issues
Visually inspected façade and planter components for deficiencies and the garage interior for damaged concrete, cracks, leaks and slab drainage issues
Conducted water tests at façade elements, planters, and paving systems to determine the cause of leaks into the parking structure below
Prepared a letter report containing observations, findings and recommendations for needed general maintenance and repair work for all building components inspected
The report also included options for repair work, including estimated construction costs, to correct the leaks

The issue consisted of severe cracking of the concrete topping slab at the northeast entrance of the main concourse to the stadium
Visual inspections, original design review, and test cuts of the topping slab revealed thin concrete to be the primary cause of the cracking
Seal Engineering, Inc. provided design for waterproofing repair, drawing improvements, and concrete topping slab replacement
